SIR VICTOR

HOTEL / BARCELONA / 2019

In cooperation with BK Baranowitz Kronenberg design studio, we designed and produced steel wall cladding, lamps and bar fittings for Sir Victor Hotel.

The wall cladding consisted of modules made of blackened steel and welded into sets. In each module panels of different width and bending radii were used, creating a continuous, nonregular wave effect.

The shape of the panels corresponded to the milled elements of the bar design.

We produced spectacular chandeliers with a diameter of 220 to 310 cm for the hotel restaurant.

These were made of copper and stretched canvas. Due to the dominance of this metal in the design, the steel mesh encompassing the lamps was copper-plated to achieve a consistent effect. We designed the lighting in such a way so that each lamp was an independent unit compatible with the DALI control system.

There is a bar on the roof of the hotel, for which we produced furnishing including a display unit for bottles.

The bottles display unit was designed in such a way so that the back panel was a mirror reflecting natural light during the day and lit with light panels illuminating the bottle display at night. After numerous tests of different materials, we succeeded in creating mirror light modules which met all the designers' vision.
